When I went up on deck of the Costa Concordia early in the morning to get a look at Rhodes, I was surprised to see the walls, turrets and castle around the city. It had a Disneyland-look I didn't expect. For a cruise

Lindos - Kalathos Village

Municipality of Lindos
Population: 380
45km from Rhodes Town

Kalathos village is located on the east coast of Rhodes; it is part traditional village and part small resort town. There is very little agriculture produced in this part of the island, and the majority of the population either work in neighbouring villages or in the tourist trade. The long, open and very quiet beach of Kalathos is made up of small pebbles and the inviting crystal clear, shallow waters make it perfect for children to swim. A handful of tavernas sprinkle the resort and sea front and as is usual, the hospitality is second to none. Should you want more excitement from your holiday, Lindos is only 4km further south, offering fantastic shopping, numerous bars, restaurants and clubs.
