Rhodes Island

Written by Tim Ross
What an incredible place. Rhodes offers almost any kind of holiday you could want. If you want peace and quiet, youíll find it on Rhodes. If you want activities and night-life, Rhodes has got it. If you want to explore history and culture, that is there too. The island is clean, the locals are very warm and friendly to tourists. English is spoken everywhere and most signs are in English too.

Vlycha Beach

Little children playing with their buckets in the sand, families from Lindos who are on first name terms with the man renting out umbrellas, foreign tourists from the hotels nearby. This pleasant little beach just before Lindos has a sun bed for everyone, while the sea.

Here deepens smoothly and gradually. It's big enough not to become crowded, but not too immense and appeals particularly to people staying in Lindos who want to escape from the crowded central beach. On the slopes around, and at the centre of the seafront, stand the largest hotels in the area. The quietest part of the beach is at the right-hand end. There are two small eating places serving sandwiches, pancakes and espressos, as well as toilets and card-operated telephones. (47 km from Rhodes town)
