Kamiros - Eleousa Village

Municipality of Kamiros
Population: 260
37km from Rhodes Town

A tiny village surrounded by plane trees, at the heart of one of the most verdant parts of the island, offering pure fresh country air and the purling sound of running waters. An Italian sanatorium, now derelict, and an aqueduct still stand guard over the pretty village, giving it an air of mystery. A perfect stop for lunch in one of the excellent taverns, followed by a walk through one of the hiking paths that help digest some of the best meze you are likely to try in Rhodes.
